Elite & 19 Track National Champs 2015

Well, what a display of riding we had here at the Avantidrome, with the Elite Track Nationals on last week. We were treated to numerous new track records, surprise performances, and even a few thrilling (and scary for those of us who haven’t watched track cycling before) crashes!

Overall we were very pleased with how the even ran, we had some great crowds in the evening sessions which always lifts the atmosphere of the event. We had plenty of happy riders and spectators who thoroughly enjoyed their time at the Avantidrome, and their stay in Cambridge.

Following Nationals, Cycling New Zealand released the names of the riders selected to represent New Zealand in Paris for the UCI Track World Championships from 18-22 February. See the story and full list of riders here.
