Avantidrome takes out Top Community Facility Award
We are so excited to announce we’ve won top Community Facility in the NZ Transport Agency’s annual Favourite Places to Ride competition!

Christchurch was named NZ’s Favourite Place to Ride for 2017.
Transport Minister Hon Simon Bridges announced on the 7th June that Christchurch has taken out the inaugural Top Town Award in the NZ Transport Agency’s annual Favourite Places to Ride competition.
Christchurch had some tough competition from Rotorua and Wellington who secured second and third place respectively, but strong support for Christchurch Adventure Park and routes through the Port Hills secured them the top title.
The Category winners for NZ’s Favourite Places to Ride 2017 are:
Urban Ride: Taupo’s Great Lake Walkway
Nga Haerenga – The New Zealand Cycle Trail: Otago Central Rail Trail
Off road or adventure ride: Whakarewarewa – The Redwoods, Rotorua
Community facility: Avantidrome, Cambridge
