Battle of the Schools 2016

After the very successful inaugural event last year the Battle of the Schools is back!  battle-of-the-schools-2016

Battle of the Schools 2016 will see children from local Waikato schools take part in weekly training sessions in the lead up to compete in the Battle of the Schools event on 2 December 2016 here at the Avantidrome.

During this training, our young riders have been learning the basics of track cycling, safety, and skills.  On the night, there’ll be teams competing to qualify for the finals in the Italian or Teams Pursuit in attempt to take out top honours as the best track cycling school in the Waikato.

There will be plenty of action so get your supporters team together and come on down to the Avantidrome for a fun evening to cheer your local school on!

Please note: Registrations are now closed.

Entry is free for spectators.

 

Riders arrive at Avantidrome: 5.30pm

Warm up: 6 – 6.30pm

First race starts: 6:30pm

Finish & Prizegiving: approx. 8 / 8.30pm
