Avantidrome Race Series 2017

The Avantidrome is running a new race series consisting of 4 race nights, once a month on a Saturday evening from 4pm for the remainder of the year. Yes, we’ll be continuing these in 2018 (dates to be confirmed).

This series will cater for both the Sprint and Endurance side of track cycling and will provide you with the opportunity to race championship events and distances. We’re leaving time in between to train and hone your skills… so you can up the stakes against your rivals!

Please note: you must be an accredited rider to be eligible to participate.

Dates:

  • 9 September
  • 14 October
  • 11 November (FYI – Te Awamutu Club is running the Brandon McGee on Friday the 10th November – why not make a weekend of it!)
  • 2 December

The number of grades and qualifiers will be decided on entry numbers. Entries are essential and close 14 days prior to each race night. To enter simply complete your entry online via the ‘Enter here’ button below.

Entry fee is only $15.00 for an adult and $10.00 for youth. Avantidozen cards will be accepted.

We are looking at including the following in the programme, numbers dependent:

  • 200m Sprint Qualifying
  • Sprint Rounds
  • 1.5 lap Derby (for sprint non-qualifiers, if required)
  • Keirin
  • Scratch Race
  • Elimination
  • Points/Tempo Race
  • Madison (experience required)
